Tom Lawrence*

Thomas H. Lawrence is CEO of Benefit Recovery, Inc.  He is also a partner in the Memphis, Tennessee law firm of Lawrence & Russell, LLP where he practices subrogation and employee benefits law on behalf of employers, insurers, plan fiduciaries, third-party administrators, and re-insurers in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  He is a frequent author and speaker on subrogation and employee benefits topics.  He represented Great-West Life in Great-West Life v. Knudson and MAMSI in Sereboff v. MAMSI; two of the three landmark healthcare subrogation cases decided by the United States Supreme Court.  He was formerly a chapter editor of Employee Benefits Law, which is published the ABA and BNA books.  He is also lead author of ERISA Subrogation: Enforcing Recoupment Provisions in ERISA-Covered Health and Disability Plans, and is a frequent author and speaker throughout the United States on topics related to healthcare subrogation.
